Born in Lhasa, Tibet, in 1976, Dedron graduated from the Art Department of Tibet University in 1999. She is a member of the China Minority Art Association and the Gendun Chöpel Artists’ Guild, both of which are located in Lhasa. She has participated in group exhibitions in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Kathmandu, Singapore and Australia, and her work can be found in the collection of the Li Keran Art Foundation in China, as well as in private collections in the United Kingdom, the United States, France and Germany.
Though her paintings of landscapes and city scenes feature common Tibetan motifs such as buddhas, yaks, and nomads, Dedron is one of the few artists in the exhibition who is not also trained in classical Tibetan art. The artist lives in Lhasa.
